i have just come back to playing undercover after 6 weeks and have found that i am missing my cars and tier unlocks. i am still at my current race from when i left though, but with my first car. i should be driving my lancer.
no i dont use any cheats or cracks.
any idea as to what is wrong? how do i get my cars and unlocks back without having to start over again?
i have been playing need for speed since the 3do and this is the first problem i have encountered.

current NFS games installed - underground2, most wanted, carbon, undercover. undercover is the only one affected.
i use the same profile name for all of them.

I'm brand new here and wanted to get to the bottom of this issue at hand. Hopefully the good people here on the forums might be able to help!

I'm sure this has been talked about but I have done a search and for the life of me can't get anything to come up for the "PC" version.

Is there a patch available for the G27 and PC? Is there a profile for the PC? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize in advance if there is something on this, but I was unable to find it.

System specs first, just so we're clear that the fault is not on my end:

I downloaded and installed both patches, was solidly in the middle of level 37, just unlocked the NFS world tour with a works converted Lambo LP640 (that I had spent a fair amount of time in the paintshop with), properly exited the game last night, turned it on this morning and presto: the usual "start career" crap that everyone else has been getting. From browsing these forums, I tried the only thing that might work, which is to run the introductory races and try to purchase a car, but it said I had no open garage slots. Of course, this is incorrect as I only had three cars in my garage (Zonda R, Works LP640 and the Supra). Now, since I'm at that screen where you HAVE to purchase a car and you can't quit or go backwards, my machine was locked.

From reading all of the other complaints about this, it doesn't look like EA responds that much on the forums, so I guess I'm just another drop in the bucket. But still, here's my post. I'll be bumping all of the other threads about this glitch that I can, because this sort of error is something I'd expect from games published ten years ago by a couple of guys in a dorm room, not from a well-funded, professional outfit like EA in 2010. To not offer any patches or solutions is awful customer support, and if this isn't addressed I'm never going to purchase a NFS game again.

NFS Shift problem!

I can not find any indication where to put the file provided with my Fanatec Porsche Turbo S steering wheel (PC - PS3)
The instalation guide mention to put: [color=red]For a game to control your wheel, the game application itself, AND the Porsche Wheel plugin dll must be installed[/color]. ([i]PorscheWheelPlugin.dll[/i]) I have no idea in which folder I need to paste that dll, can somebody maybe help.

I have a PS3 slim.

First thing first, i put de Bluray in the PS3, and got prompted for an update. Did the update, installed the game, got to the first race (you know, the BMW M3 tutorial race, to set the racing settings).

In fact, I never got to this race, since the loading screen never ends !!!

I even tried to let it load during an hour !!! It just never ends !!!

I uninstalled, re-installed, applied patch, same thing.
I uninstalled, re-installed, doesn't applied the patch, and than it worked... for a day. After, it stopped working again, I've got the same never ending loading screen.
I uninstalled, re-installed, applied the patch, and magic ! It works !

I played a week long, until other problems comes.

First, when I browse cars, sometime the car on the screen doesn't change at all. Say I had the Honda S2000, and I selected the Nissan 350Z, I still got the S2000 on screen with the loading circle. It seems that NFS is having trouble loading car graphics.

That's small problem.

Now, when I want to customize the car (change color, tuning etc), the game crashes 50% of time. Yeah!! When it crashes, I don't see the car, nor the menu. All I have is the background and music !!

But that's not the worse.

I can't play Invitational event anymore !! I unlocked a BMW M3 (something like that) and the CCX vs Zonda invitationals. Every time I try to play them, first, there is no loading screen, only a black screen, I can hear the music though.

Than the race starts. If I press "start" during the race, the game crashes (I see the menu, but i can't move the selection, nor i can select any item. I have to close the game using the PS3 menu).

If I finishes the race, the game crashes. I see my car, but no menu, and I can't do s***. Again, I have to close manually the game.

Now, really, I start to get pissed. It is one thing to have glitches, it is another to * a unfinished game with bugs.

I love the NFS franchise, but I am feeling that EA is destroying it. Really, shame on you for shipping a game like that. I am seriously considering filling for refund. What's the point playing a game that has so many bugs !!!
