Without 'disable' the target link is http://needforspeed.com/web/nfs/downloads - same as for the demo and 1.01 patch, but nothing there yet.

That "team racing" mentions 6+6 racing makes me think this DLC is meant to go with the next patch. We have 8 player racing at the moment and 12 promised for next patch.

Yes, thats right and so this DLC is for when the patch is avail which would make alot of sense for it not to be on for download or it being on and ready but not active as on yet till the patch is ready and out. Both the DLC and patch could be all in one which is possible.

Seeing info on a DLC makes you think how far the patch is off and imo, it aint far off from release

I'd like to know how good the "team racing" will be lol what fun

So, the page description says that there's a new race type (online team play obviously) but is the number of new cars five or six? 'Cause while I still like the list they offered, it brings something up against the Skyline 2000 and gives us our Supra, I was still hoping for that Morgan.

I'd like any Ferrari...

Realisticly, I want the stock 2010 Mustang GT, the Challenger SRT8, Classic Muscle, an option to delete any tuner cars from the game, and some more tracks like ambush canyon.

Either they can't count or there's a bonus car they haven't mentioned yet. Not really sure which is more likely at this point

I wish they would do some of the really low hanging fruit that couldn't take THAT long to implement, or things that are exposable by editing a couple of flags in the game as-is. Things like the nurburgring GP circuit (already present on the nordschleife circuit), reverse track layouts, changeable tyre types between street/full slick tyres, qualifying, full damage mode (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF*** those guys on youtube posting tyre/engine melting hotlaps), etc.

I think they can't count. Because they say five new cars. Then they list six.

How about giving us the:
BMW M5 ( This would be amazing to have in the game, that V10 power !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )
Jaguar XKR ( Really want this, it just reeks adrenalin )
Jaguar XFR ( The super sedan )
BMW M6 ( Tossing this around the track could be fun )
Audi TT RS
Audi S5 ( Great looks, and monster power, coupled with its imposing style )
Audi RS6 ( The other super sedan )
Audi RS5 ( Great looks, tech, great engine. Would be great doing battle in this against my next car)
BMW M3 GTS ( Who wouldn't want to chuck around a stripped out monster car ? )
Zenvo St1 ( I would grovel to ea if it would get them to put this in )
BMW M5 CSl ( Who wouldn't want to excercise this car ? )
2009 BMW Z4 ( Could be fun ? )

Oh yes, that and the ability to purchase Tier 5 cars.

Nate

Yes please.

I don't know if it's really appreciated over in the US or Britain where EA and SMS are, but if you want to sell something to australians with an interest in cars, you are going to need to work out some way of relating it to either the Bathurst/Mt Panorama circuit or V8 Supercars. Or both, preferably.

- additional simulation game modes (with simulation i mean simulation. i just mention that because we already know EA and SMS have some problemes with the word simulation)
- race weekends (practice, qualy, race)
- advanced online features and options.
- server browser
- MASSIVE point losses for crash kiddies in online races
- free run race mode
- pits
- pit stops
- advanced setup mode
- saveable replays
- saveable setups for each car
- hotlap recording
- time attack ghost mode
- replay music control
- photo mode not only in race mode
- splited single und multiplayer careers
- car show room to zoom in and out and rotate a car.
- option to set and save a full grid of opponents/cars to ones own desires and wishes
- more cars at the same time on a track
- did i mention a simulation mode?
- night races
- GT4, GT3, GT2, GT1, LMP2, LMP1 cars
- Group C
- touring cars - DTM, V8 Supercars
- Le Mans, Monza, Suzuka, HTTT Paul Ricard, Sebring, Lime Rock Park, Mid Ohio, Abu Dhabi, Algarve
- Ferraris, Gumpert Apollo

simulation mode. to be true, i think this should be the easiest part of all for SMS. the guys created gtr2, and i think the shift physics were dumbed down because EA wanted the game to be appealing to console players. i am pretty sure they just have to set some variables to realistic values. they surely know very well what will make this game much more realistic than it is now. a simple arcade racer. a shame for the shift physics.

after all i think EA should have released this game only for consoles. everything on this game reminds me of a console game. the menus, the graphics, the gameplay, the online mode. just doesnt fit and even is unworthy for a pc game.

p.s.: i know my wishlist is unrealistic for shift

There are 2 Dodge Challengers. This car is already in the game. That brings the total to 3 Dodge Challengers. Does that really count as a new car? Does it really count as 2 new cars?

I mean it's great if you like the Dodge Challenger. But who the heck likes the Dodge Challenger? hehehe j/k

I actually like subtle variations like that, but I do think that there are still FAR too few cars in Shift.

84 cars available in NFS PU. Nearly 10 years ago. With a FRACTION of the budget given to Shift. I would have expected at LEAST 200-300 cars in a game like Shift. And yes, I do know how much work it is to make a car for these games. I think 200-300 is COMPLETELY reasonable considering the development budget given a game like Shift.
