the CD key you entered is already registered....

no its not,
ive downloaded the patch and still the same message,
any solution to this yet?

Did you allow anyone besides yourself access to the game?? Sounds like someone registered your game in their name before you got a chance to do so, this means that you will have to buy/purchase another copy of shift if you want to play it online. Once it is registered and linked to an EA account it cannot be changed. It is done this way to prevent piracy of the title in question.

If you recently bought the game, the take it back to the store and do an exchange to get a new cd key.

i got the same problem, i think that there is a F-up error in the link system because i exchanged the game to get another code and the error keeps repeating himself.
so now i got 2 nfs shift keys that aren't working...
i mean 2 unique codes that don't work?
i don't call that coincidence, it's just a F-ing error

Same problem here, tried contacting EA. They did a manual linking to my account but still no help.
