Unfortunately I don't have a PC, and I would KILL to play NFSWO! I really miss the days of Rockport and Palmont. Do you think they would even consider a Mac version?

I don't see why not.
No information about MAC version but releasing one is a good idea.

I'm sorry to say,

but people should consider whether they want the computer for work only or for fun and work, when they make a purchasing decision.

If you want to be able to play most of the recent releases never go with Mac. To be honest, I could never understand why people would pay extra for a computer that is not only slower, but also not good for playing most of the new releases. Check the Mac game selection here, there's plenty to choose from...

1. TOCA Race Driver 3
2. Cars: Radiator Springs Adventure
3. Ford Racing 2
4. FlatOut 2
5. Need for Speed Carbon

Actually I'm wondering why Macintosh are still making computers...
Sure, they have some good tools but Microsoft overwhelmed them long ago .

I like Macs. They still offer up superior graphics manipulation programs and their OS's have a much smaller footprint in both memory consumption and processor resources. Their systems also tend to be more well integrated with each other. So despite it having less power under the hood it uses what it has much better. Thus better results.

Personally, I like the minimalist approach that Macs tend to have. I use Safari because it takes up less of my screen, a must for computers with small screens, and Itunes because it has such a good database. (I just wish Itunes had a media server system.)

Anyways, the best Macs now offer up the same chips, amounts of RAM, and graphics cards that PC's offer. Which allows for even better results when mixed with Mac OS's. And Bootcamp takes up the same space as the WinXP/98 buffer that Win7 has. Approximately of course.

...but a collection of only 5 racing games!

Although, that's probably all you can afford after paying all that extra cash for U.S. Brand.

if your mac has the same specs as a pc that can run nfs carbon (or better specs) then all you just have to do is use bootcamp to install windows XP or windows 7 (vista sucks) and NFSWO when the time comes, problem solved!

I completely agree with you there. NEVER buy a MAC if you want to play games on your computer. And the games you can get are usually outdated, 2-3 years old when released for Mac. I also can't understand why people would pay so much for a computer which has worse specs than a PC at the same price. It's the brand and the OS you pay for, which is a ripoff. Same thing with iPod. It's about $50-$90 more expensive than the other brands of mp3 players. Some of the extra dough you're shelling out is for the apple on the back of the iPod.
Personally, I HATE Macs. I could go on for years ranting about how much they suck. Never liked them at all. I grew up with Windows 3.1, and I'd never consider buying a Mac.

Anyways, to answer your question, I'm not sure if WO would run on a Mac. It could be PC based only. You'd have to wait and see.

I simply asked if a Mac version was plausible. I have much better things to do than get fat and sit on my * at the computer all day playing video games. I didn't buy my Macs to play games.

Are you living in the US or Britain?
That should explain your opinion about non-mac users .

Well if you didn't buy a Mac to play games, why are you wondering if WO will be on a Mac?
And I really don't have the time to sit all day and play games. I wish I did (like my other friends) but there are other important things as well. Anyway, I'm gonna try not to argue about PC/Mac, it could be a lengthy discussion. I stand where I am, and that's all.

The question was justified,

but chances for any new racing games coming on Mac are slim.

It really would be great if they made this game on mac as well. I have a brand new PC and a Mac so I don't really care if they do make for mac or not, but if they had the chance and could be bothered, you would think that EA would do it. I hope they do cause that would mean more players would be online hence more NFS fans alike.
