In NFS:UC, how fast you are, how fast the police car is : Even you're 500mph, the police car can also stay with you closely. So you have to KILL the police cars.

When our (suspects') car is being chased by Police Car, our purpose is to let the Police Car quit pursuit, not "Smashing Police Car".

So the milestone list should be "How many police car you Ditch" no "KILL"

1. No "Catch-Up". The Police Car should have real Performance instead of "Catch-Up". Just like CVPI 0-100km/h is 5.3, top speed is 140mph.

2. No SUV ramming. That's not only tough but also stupid.

3. Anything you can let the police car quit chasing is GOOD !

I . If your car is faster than the police cars, you can ditch them!

II . If your car isn't faster than the police cars, but your car's performance is better than them, they'll also be unable to stay with you.

III. If the police cars get involved a Traffic Accident with traffic vehicles, they'll also quit chasing you.

IV. If the police car catches the spike-strip, the tires will also be damaged.

V . If the police cars hit the wall, tree or something fast enough, they'll quit chasing you.

VI . There's still some "Red Triangle" : your car hit it, some heavy things fall down and damage the police cars, then they quit chasing you. But the Red Triangles shouldn't be Tower, huge sculpture or something like that.

4. Not easy to kick the roadblock-police-car away. If your car hit a roadblock-police-car, the speed of your car will soon become very very low.

5. No City Standard Badge. This will make the police cars look boring. In the NFS:MW, Carbon, UC, the different police cars has the same badge.

6. Police car model should be real. No fabricated Police Car: No Civic Cruiser or State Police.
These police cars models should be included: And different police car has different paint and badge

1. Civic
1981 Chevrolet Impala SS (Paint as LAPD unit)
1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 5.8L (Paint as the police car steal in the hospital in Terminator 2)
1986 Dodge Diplomat / Plymouth Gran Fury

2. Civic Advanced
1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 5.8L (Paint as the LTD in Final Destination)
1990 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 (Paint as NFS3PSX Hometown)
1986 Dodge Diplomat / Plymouth Gran Fury

3. State
1997 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Paint as the CVPI in NFS:HS hometown police car)
1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 (Paint as the Caprice in NFS:HS seaside police car)

4. State Advanced
2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Paint as the CVPI in NFS:HP2)
2009 Chevrolet Impala 9C3

5. Federal
2011 Chevrolet Caprice
2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Black)
2009 Chevrolet Impala 9C3 (Black)
2010 Dodge Charger Police Package

SUV ? 1994 Cherokee Jeep, Chevy Tahoe, Ford Explorer and so on

Re: Police Chase should be changed totally

Ah well you say that "killing" the cops is stupid and it would be more realistic to "ditch" the cops, but you need to remember, the NFS games of late with cops have been arcade game, and if we look at it from that perspective then smashing cop cars is a lot more fun than ditching them, and also varies up the gameplay a lot more.

Some people think KILLING copcars has much more fun than DITCHING.

How do you think, pals? voice your opinion.

It would be much more interesting to have a pursuit when the physics of cars/world is like in NFS PS or Shift and not completely arcade like in MW, UC ...

There must be a fixed number of cops, only few special units like LaNina and Corvette and several more...
Cops should arrest traffic cars too, if they committed a violation ...
They must chase all possible targets at a time, not just player's car.
Cops must obey road rules just like any other traffic car (when they are on patrols).
In gameplay, cops can be ordered to search for a car using a description given by central. They must not only arrest, depending on the type of violation they must give a ticket.

Roadblocks with water barrels.

Helicopter scout mode might be interesting, you are on patrol and helping cops to locate road accidents, follow/trace racers and so on. In some situations police helicopter block the road as well but with a risk to be destroyed or heavily damaged.

I remember there's a tactical in NFS:HP2

When the Copcar is near you, you can brake at once, then the copcar will go forward, it'll take the copcar a long time to turn back.

But in NFS:UC, "Thanks" to the Catch-Up, this tactical doesn't work!

If the copcar performance is real, this tactical will work!

About the copcar model:
I think the 1981 Impala & 1987 LTD should be removed

Heat one:
1986 Dodge Diplomat / Plymouth Gran Fury

Heat two:
1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 5.8L
1990 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1
"NFS3PSX Hometown Caprice" is really a good paint

And we need to make a copcar list for Heat 6 !

basically I would want:

I: nfsu2 tuning with autosculpt, (head lights, tail lights, hydralics, trunk sound system and such)
separate bumpers (not like nfsmw)

II: long career, like most wanted

III: damageable cars, like the newest nfs games

IV: I want it to be illegal racing with police like nfsmw

V: u got to find the shops,? like in nfsu2

VI: u have to be able to outrun the cops

VII: I would like an sdk for game modding
so modders can make new cars, bumpers, spoilers, vinyls and more

Yeah, I think the Career should be longer.

The Carbon Career can be finished in 24 hours.
The UC carrer can be finished in 2 days.
Really need to be longer.

About the police car list:

I made some adjustment

Heat 1 : Civic Unit
1986 Dodge Diplomat / Plymouth Gran Fury

Heat 2 : Civic Advanced Unit
1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria 5.8L
1990 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 (Paint as NFS3PSX Hometown Caprice)
1994 Cherokee Jeep (Paint as NFS:HS Rocky Pass Range Roger)

Heat 3 : State Unit
1997 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Paint as the CVPI in NFS:HS hometown police car)
1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 (Paint as the Caprice in NFS:HS seaside police car)
Ford Explorer (Paint as NFS:MW K-9 SUV)

Heat 4 : Super State Unit
2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Paint as the CVPI in NFS:HP2)
2009 Chevrolet Impala 9C3
Ford Explorer (Black)

Heat 5 : Federal Unit
2011 Chevrolet Caprice
2010 Dodge Charger Police Package
Chevy Tahoe

Heat 6 : Ultimate Federal Unit
Chevy Tahoe (Black)
2003 Ford Crown Victoria P71 (Black)
2009 Chevrolet Impala 9C3 (Black)
2011 Chevrolet Caprice (Black)
2010 Dodge Charger Police Package (Black)

I think the NFS3:HP Redrock PD paint should also be used

Old NFS games (1-6) have always been more or less realistic (and I'm not talking about driving physics). Look at Hot Pursuit or High Stakes. They're also arcade games, and you don't destroy cop cars, but escape them. Destroying cops is good in Grand Theft Auto series, but not in NFS.

Also, I miss the Hot Pursuit game mode - a single race with one opponent and police on your back. Quick race and multiplayer without cops are just boring.

Anyways, It's not that I hate the 9C1 and the P71, it's just like Ubersil said: "But I'm pretty sure I'd rather have EA use that then blow some licensing cash on a proper police car. After all, that's money they could use on a Morgan AeroMAX, or a Weismann, or some other car that some other guy wants. "
========================================================
You just want EA spend money only on RaceCar, right?

I agree that "Looks like real model", but the MW, Carbon, UC Civic Cruiser doesn't look like the real model

How about that?
Make the body, performance be like real model, but there're no brand on the car.
(Just like the 1997 Crown Victoria P71 in NFS3, everyone knows that's a CVPI, but there're no FORD brand on it)
And in the game, the name of the cop car is still "State Police #1"

Then EA will spend no money on the police cars.

Im having a hard time following some of these threads - it seems like you're copying and pasting your posts from other threads?

Also, the police in Carbon seemed very different from Most Wanted and Undercover. In Carbon, it was about disabling the police cars (who could be taken down relatively easy). Therefore, it was easy enough to outrun the police with clever driving then take out any still stuck to you and hide.

I agree that Undercover was a nightmare though, the fact that they had the catch up system meant that it was literally impossible to outrun and the police didnt disable nearly as easily so you got swamped pretty quickly (though the pursuit breakers were more effective).

I think Carbon had the best police pursuit system though.

Ok to be honest I loved the older NFS HP series also, and the thing is I remember on HP2, the cop cars did run over the spike strips and were disabled also, so I would say add that back into it, but keep it the way it is because it is more arcade then the older ones, I liked that the graphics were more realistic though in the older one, and add the replay feature to watch the pursuits when your done and edit the replay and save it like a movie editor also...

To note like I said keep the pursuits the same maybe a little different and a little more realistic and movie like at the same time such as waaaaay smarter police A.I. like they cordinate a little better, like the chase starts out with one cop car, then a minute into the race/chase number two joins, then a third another minute later, then the whole calvary after another minute or two in the chase if a lapped race the final lap or a sprint comming torward the final stretch like on 90%-95% of the 100%, and with the smarter A.I. fellow racers do get busted and are eliminated from the race, unlike most wanted they chased your fellow racer but they never got busted, and instead of partol like in certain areas they are parked on the road behind signs or on the side of the hwy like real life, or even already on a traffic stop with a cillvian car and you fly past, and you the police radio say somthing like " vehicle just blew past me, I'm negative on the pursuit in the middle of a high risk warrent traffic stop, but I have a description of the vehicle dispatch", and when the pursuits are more organized like on the hwys the or intersections cop cars up ahead will block cross traffic or narrow traffic down to two lanes on a three lane hwy so there is a small traffic jam forming in two lanes and the third lane is clear for public safety and you can really floor it and sometypes a set up for the spike belt to be in the open lane and catch you by surprise and may have to jump to the break down lane etc, also when a cop does crash when smashing into a semi, other cars, guard rails when a split in the road they are disabled but the A.I. will be smart enough not to crash into it unless you swerve and * the cop car into the object. The crash breakers are somewhat a little over the top but fine with me, sometimes back up units should pop out of nowhere like in the moives like powersliding thru an intersection etc.

Revitalization of the cop car list

Civil
heat 1:
Ford Crown Vics or Impalas either 2000-09 marked black & white or all white with a blue stripe (sort of like Phila PD cars) 7 cars chasing at once when full cavary arrives

heat2:
Impalas or Malibus 2006-09 Unmarked and let marked units in pursuit stay in the chase also to make it realistic (so its more like a detective, narco, gang unit, or any special task unit just joined the chase since they were in the area) Total of about 7-10 units chasing at once (Air unit being called out on stand by)

State:
heat 3:
Slick Top Dodge Charger Marked (Air unit call out arrives) Navy blue with white stripes on door panel Totaling 12 cars pursuing with heat 1-2 cars in pursuit but backing off halfway into pursuit or going into heat 4

heat 4:
Unmarked Mercury Maurada so heats 3 and 4 in pursuit totaling 12 units still (FBI air unit starts buzzing in asking PD chopper to clear out of air space so they wont be crowded in and cause accident, PD complies)

Federal
heat 5: Black 09 Tahoe and Charger totaling out to 15 cars in pursuit at once also additional helicopter (FBI air unit, all black chopper) Fedz completely take over chase

heat 6: Everyone....... totaling about 25-35 cars in pursuit, FBI realizes they wont be able to stop you by themselves and call local PD to rejoin chase and assist......

Or just have grey unmarked Charges & Tahoes that make up for what the heat 6 cars lack, but I like the everyone idea better lol

Some people said that EA should not spend too much money on buying police car license
So they think EA should fabricate police car model

I agree that EA should save money
But We don't need to buy

As you see
in the NFS:HS
there's 1996 Audi A6 C4 traffic car, but on the body there're no 4-ring brand or AUDI words. And the name is SEDAN4
there's 1997 Ford Crown Victoria P71, but on the body there're no FORD brand or CROWN VICTORIA words. And the car's name is POLICE SEDAN
there's 1998 Eagle Talon TSi, but there're no TALON words on it, and its name is POLICE HATCHBACK
So what've we got?

We can put some real model police car in the game, but remove the brand on the body. And the car name tells players nothing.
For Example:
make two State Unit
1997 Ford Crown Victoria P71 & 1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1
Remove the brands on the car, and name them "State Unit #1" "State Unit #2"
Then EA can escape from spending money on the police car license, we can eajoy the real model police car.
