No, but really, I consider PS2 to be the best previous gen console. The fact that it is still sold in retail stores and the fact that new games for PS2 still come out is great. Just don't buy ported games, they will usually be crap. (Like Undercover or NHL series or something like that.)

The Playstation 2 will unfortunately die. And it will die before it's time has come because that's what happens to great things.

Unlike that unnamed guy who had a skin transplant from a white guy, stole Jay Leno's chin and got kicked in the nads for the past twentyfive years...

You are so serious. Its just a video game console.

But you can't deny that he's right. Now due to the PS3 price drop, and the unfortunate ugly styling of the Slim, people will be more likely to purchase a PS3. More PS3 sales will cause game developers to focus more on 3 instead of 2, and the slow decline of the PS2 will increase, ultimately putting it back into original XBOX status.

Well that's good if it makes ppl buy a PlayStation 3 instead. Why buy a PlayStation 2 when the PlayStation 3 is right next to it on the shelf?

Nostalgia. If I could walk into Wal-Mart and find an original "square" Playstation, I"d buy that over anything else.
