I'm new here to the forums, yet I've come across the gamers desire over and over again to have NFS: Hot Pursuit 3. When is EA ever going to buckle down and answer the prayers of what their customers want? I loved the second one on the GameCube. Enjoyed the same game my friend had on his PS2. Keeping it real like it was back then was I think the best part about the series. Then it kinda went down hill with the whole street racing circuit.

Is there a way to get EA's attention for this? God, I sure hope so!

No your wrong, Need for Speed Underground 2 is where it was at. There wont be a hot pursuit 3, if anything there will be a Need for Speed Underground 2 remake or Underground 3 for the ps3. I gurantee there are more people here (ea community) and youtube who want a Underground 3 instead.

The sales figures beg to differ.

Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit I believe was superior as the cars were well balanced/fun to drive, and the track design was without equal. Also, the horn cheat was good too. I enjoyed Need For Speed Underground 2 also but Hot Pursuit was what got me into the need for speed series. Sales figures do not represent a games worth, or (sometimes) it's ability to sell a remake.

To answer the topic title. It's coming in 2010. The 2010 NFS being made is either going to be like NFS 1 thru 2 or NFS III thru HP2. Criterion actually knows that NFS fans don't want no ghetto POS Underground, they want old school NFS.

Hot Pursuit 3 would be welcome indeed. It was a classic which I still occasionally play on my old Athlon/GF3 system which has 3D glasses. Lotsa fun!

I would be happy for High Stakes 2. Mild customization that doesn't go overboard & damage that actually effects the car's performance.

Pure speculation. Criterion has said nothing about the game (Alex Ward explicitly said it's way to early to talk about it) so nobody knows what kind of game they will make.

Judging by your grammar, one could easily assume "ghetto POS Underground" would be your "cup of tea".

However, I think CITY is really better than TRACK.

But the POLICE PURSUIT needs to be changed

In my opinion NFS HP2 is the very best in the series and basically my main pain is that I cannot play ps2 games on my ps3.

I bought several other NFS titles later in the hopes that I would find the same kind of gameplay and fun in an offline multiplayer mode but all failed in my opinion, NFS HP2 is still king!

If there is not going to be a HP3 please polish this one up a bit and make it downloadable in the playstation store, I would sure like to pay for it again, just make it multyplayer (splitscreen) both offline and online.

Forget it, unfortunately EA doesn't seem to care about old NFS games. They didn't even make patches for NFS1-4 so that they would run in Windows XP, Vista and 7. Thank God that some true NFS fans made unofficial patches.

I don't believe that HP3 is going to come out soon (unless Criterion Games will do it). It's now the Underground era, kids prefer tuned VW Golf, night racing, smashing cops and other cr*p to exotic cars, tracks and normal police chases. Sad but true

Agreed. All I want is more original NFS style games.
