Need for Speed Racing Games

Got a nice little surprise when I booted up Shift last week.

Yup.

Career progress is GONE. Wiped, corrupted, whatever.

That's my Zonda. The Zonda F that I was using last time I played.

Its still seeing my save - but my Career has been wiped/has become inaccessible.

If I progress with "Start Career", I can run the test lap, but when it gets to the buy your first car section, I can't because apparently I "Don't have an available car slot". They're all full of course with all the cars I've bought, earned, modified and tuned.

So got a Driver level 50 Career, only a few Trophies from Plat, $18 million dollars, all cars unlocked to buy, all Tiers unlocked, only I can't buy anything to recover anything.

Tried data reinstall, pre/post patch loads all to no avail.

And please remove copy protection on the save so we can back up our progress.

Please fix this!

hey.... the same thing has happened to me.... on the same day.... that can not be a coincidence.

Have you heard anything back from anyone about what to do?

The information must be stored somewhere?
I have all my trophies saved and can see them, but the rest is the same.

Someone needs to look at this, read it and do something about it.

Man that sucks... hope that it doesn't happen to me.

This same thing happened to me on PS3.

I really need some info on whether or not it will be fixed or I can get my career back.

And I'm guessing even if the patch fixes it - it'll only fix it happening again - not fix our now lost career mode..

It happened to me too, but my story has a twist.... my whole system would not respond to any controller input, then the actual on/off control would not work... so i was left with no other option but to UNPLUG my console and plug it back in.

Needless to say, i guess thats how i corrupted my info because when i went to play shift again, i was sent to the "testlap" sceen and had previously already gotten to lvl 50 in career.... oh well, just started over, no big deal, the game is fun, just don't UNPLUG your Console, lol.

This also happened to me has anybody resolved this without restarting there career again ?

hi just a quick update did the test sesion then finnished the first race tried to buy a car but had no room in my garage so went to psn and bought a car problem solved for now!!!

The same exact thing happened to me. I was going to win the game again but the lag is so bad in career mode that I went out and bought dirt2. Shift is on the shelf until the patch comes out. Dirt2 is awesome by the way, the online cannot be matched. Oh, and if game data could actually be saved on memory stick this would not happen but there's a darn lock on save data!!!!!

Got all the way to level 40, spent hours on it!!! Even completed all the stars for those pesky 4 car spin our, single lap clean lap, etc etc. EA you have serious bugs!!!!!

Bump, this needs to be addressed. -- even if it is fixed - EA lost me as a customer .

the same thing happened to me too. I emailed Ea and at the end the only thing they said was sorry, nothing they can do, and gave me a 20$ coupon for the Ea store online. What am i supposed to do with this coupon? i don't want to get anymore * Ea games, even if its free!
