ok thanks for all the constructive criticism, i really respect all the effort you put in your own works and the effort to help me. i will continue on the car tomorrow. Also, what do you think of me as a car vinyler? this db9 is my 3rd car btw
i have one problem though, i can't really do a black border around the car because the black gradient is already close to the bottom, do you think i should swap the black with the gold and vice versa? i think a black base would look better than a gold one.
Also, are you on the PS3? lol i'm from Australia btw..

Hello Mister Aussie
I am a french froggy lost in Norway
As a vinyler, I think that you are in a learning phase. But what I find really positive and promising to increase your skills, it is that you already know that a project starts with primitives and that logos are not a goal in term of vinyl decoration. Lots of beginners only use them because of it, most of them produce boring and non creative layouts... or crappy results that should never be shown. Luckily for you, you do not
Another positive point for you: I think you understand that big flat colors can provide a good support to start a decoration. Of course there are many other different ways, but this one is a simple and efficient way to start a decoration.
I would say that in some few cars, you will know more about vinyl problems and vinyls potentials, and that will be then the start of "WOW project" so, don t give up and keep on trying, i will be very pleased to give you my advices.
I expect some good cars in 2 or 3 ones.
my tips: work with the lines of your car. that s easy and it helps a lot when you don t have that much ideas.
cheers Ausrtralia!

your car is nicer now!
as I said, in 2 or 3 cars, you will be experienced enough to create more advanced things and surely more beautiful one too.
I will maybe see the result in one week or two... who knows?
I am sorry to say so, but football is not a thing I really care about... but Rugby
just that Norway is not the right place for it
cheers dude

:S what does "gtr" mean?
I am not a specialist in english...
note: My ingame Name (PS3) is "Chilango" or "Chilango70"
what s yours? I can see if I know how to add you in my buddy list, I have never tried it before.
Chilango is a word that means "inhibitant of Mexico City", my favourite place in the world. A town both overwhelming, charming and scary.

cheers

this car is already better than the previous one
in very few cars, people will start to say COOOOL, I can see it.
some good stuff, some others that can be improved.
try this:
connect the 2 black stripes on each sides of the car with a black stripe of the same thickness going on the back of the car and then put your japanese flag in the middle of this back stripe.
i think that this small adjustment will add very much to your car.
On the top of the car , put a black stripe of the same thickness of the one of the side and finish it with a gradient . Connect the stripe with the one of the back of the car
indeed, check my rough on this link below, that will maybe help to understand what I mean.
http://www.noelshack.com/up/aac/roughgtr-8e08a86f4.jpg
The race flags size is very good. concerning the color of the race flag it will be even better if you try it so:
choose a >>>METALLIC<<< color (anyone) in the PAINT garage, then aplly exactly the same color on all the flag race vinyls on your car. You ll see the result on the sunny track
But I repeat it, you re on the way to be pretty good. just keep on trying, soon you will not need me to improve your work.
I am really waiting to see your new GTR.
cheers dude

haha thanks for the help!!! THAT IS SUCH A COOL DRAWING LOL!!!! woah, i really respect how much effort you're putting into helping me because, most people on the internet are total
lol you don't know how much i appreciate you helping me, seriously.
also, i have cousins in denmark and norway and i think the time where you live is 10 hours behind. so the best time we can race together is around now.. but not today, i'm tired ... also do you have a MSN? if you do i will PM you my email..
i think Gmail has instant messaging as well. also, if my english is too complicated or hard to understand tell me.. i know assyrian as well, like i said about my parents... also, i don't think i can change the inside of the Grip logo because it only changes the outline. i will have to check again though, i'm not too sure. also, what grade in school are you in?
Also, judging from your sketch, the circle patterns on the side of the car should be rpelaced with the Grip logo?
Cheers
Romeil

You re welcome, it s just fun to see how to make things better with vinyls. if you don t help people, they just get stuck with logo. And that s just a pity.
to change the color inside of the grip logo, just put some colored vinyls (square and Circle) UNDER it. not difficult, just time consuming.
good night dude

from what i can see, the graphic work gives an interesting dynamic result, specially with black and white. It seems that the vinyls do not conflict with the main lines of the car but follow them quite harmoniously. But to be honnest, to comment further, i would be interested in having some other pictures of the same car with different angles to judge how the different sides of your car fit together.
I hope to post a koenis?? CC ( I never know how to write the name of this car) and a old "cubic" skyline soon. both of them are ready, i just need to take some snapshots.
So frustrating that the old fiat 500 is not in NFS, I would have liked so much to put some vinyls on it...

My koenigsegg CCX
a very difficult car to handle with vinyls (new beginner with vinyls should think to some other car)
and my stock-car version of the beautiful Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R (C10)
