Need for Speed Racing Games

Ok , here is the deal... Never did i have any problem like this with playing games generally , and never particularly with a nfs game . Anyhow I updated every single driver on my PC and I also removed all input devices except the keyboard and mouse(drivers for these were also updated). With all this fuss concluding to the same problem I would really love to get an official answer why many of us are getting this annoying nfs.exe error...In the end we never did all these things to play another game... So plz give us an answer and don't make us think that we threw our money away to buy a game from a company which we trusted to create good games and now this company is not willing to give a solution to a problem caused by its game ! Ty in advance .

Was having the same problem, ran as administrator like it said and it seemed to clear up the problem.

If your resposne is referring to me , then i am running the game as administrator . I mean my account is set up to be Computer Administrator.... :S

If you use Vista, having an administrator account does not mean you run all programs with administrator privileges by default. Right click your nfs shortcut and click run as administrator, or change the shortcut properties to do it by default.

If you played BF2, it uses Punkbuster too and you need to run the game as administrator, so I guess it is the same here.

in need for speed under cuver u have to download some poul.dll and overwrit the game dirctory ..i have Xp 3.00 GHz with 2 Ram and 7300 video card at start i have some proplems when i start the game.. if any one have black window in the left top turn off the smoke the car. its well be remove the black window.. at first hard loading game But now awww fucking gr8 game !! lol

the "paul.dll" file is a no cd patch, which may be causing the errors, at least I thought, tested and the game itself is causing the errors due to poor coding, I am starting to think that ea games suck.

Always bitching about piracy but can't even put out a good game, shame I wasted money on this, I should have downloaded it and saved myself the money.

same problem here....hit nfs.exe command prompt comes up then windows closes the program.....pissing me off !!!!

Tried re-installing, running as admin and installing the latest nvidia drivers 180.48

Using Vista 64bit

I have the same problem as this. I've installed this game on 3 different PC's trying to get this thing to work. It installed and ran on 1 Vista computer (Compaq). It installed but did not run on the other 2 machines (both XP SP3).

I have updated every driver, turned off the virus scanner (during install, and during gaem load up), closed every application in Task Manager that I can, run in administrator mode, removed every dead/hidden/old driver from Device Manager. This thing doesn't work on XP SP3, and because it is "software" I can not return it.

I have seen "0" indication that EA Games is going to help us with this, and I 've been watching forums daily for a reply since this game was released a week ago.

Near as I can tell, I either need to switch to Vista, or just accept the fact that I am out the dollars.

it seems we've been suckered by ea. i'm facing the same problem too. i tried everything listed in this forum and i haven't been able to see the first splash screen of the game.

imagine that !!!!!!! screwed by EA again.......
funny thing is i went out today and bought a quad core board and cpu from plug and play.set it all up blablabla finaly reinstaled undercover and guess what ?.still no spash screen just the old send report to micro crook thing all over

No official answer or something.... Nothing at all . They are completely ignoring the problem there game is causing !!! Even a simple answer like " we are trying to find what's causing the problem " or something like that would suffice !! But instead they prefer to say nothing at all and giving us no choice but to believe that we are being ignored big time and that we wasted our money..... Never expected that to happen to a nfs game....

Same problem as everyone else, updated all drivers nothing works. Its fun to spend 40 bucks to be in your beta test, when is EA going to fix this broken game?

I downloaded a no cd crack and the game STARTED FINALLY!!
maybe it can solve ur problems too..
