lol You can play games all you want, but if you actually read the interview the producer clearly states what the scope of the game is. Essentially, the point was that NFS is about fun and accessibility, and a simulation does not necessarily equal fun and accessibility. Therefore, SHIFT was NOT intended as a simulation, but rather a game that featured real racing classes and cars, but with a touch of arcade-like driving so that everyone could enjoy it.

Also, the game is indeed authentic. It has REAL cars, and REAL tracks, and REAL features from WTCC racing, etc... So if you want to take it so literal as down to the definition of 1 word, then indeed, the game is authentic. (Notice the word REAL was from your nice definition)

This still has nothing to do with being, or claiming to be a simulation. Good try though.

OK. The following comes from EA's very own website. Note the bolded.

Need for Speed™ SHIFT is an award-winning authentic racing game that combines the true driver’s experience with real-world physics, pixel-perfect car models, and a wide range of authentic race tracks. Need for Speed SHIFT takes players in a different direction to create a simulation experience that replicates the true feeling of driving high-end performance cars.

Stop now, please.

Please stop jacking threads & being a troll, we all know you suck at Shift & you're a big, fat, vulgar troll, stop screaming "you're a troll" now. Please, we get the message already, you've done an awful lot of trolling on other threads already, just give it a break.

Actually, I'd be a troll if and only if they fix the game, get it right, and instead of reverting back to the launch-day optimism and early enthusiasm I had for this game, I keep right on talking crap.

Right now, I'm pissed that my good money seems to be hanging in limbo. But hey, if that's what we're calling trolling nowadays, then bank on more until the problems get fixed.

EDIT: By the way, if you'll put the Kool-Aid down, go back and read, you'll notice that I'm not jacking the thread.

2) Check if the value are correct

"Audi S3" and "Audi TT Coupé 3.2 quattro" have: same WEIGHT.

"Audi RS 4" and "Audi R8 4.2 FSI quattro" have: same POWER and TORQUE.

"BMW M3 E46" and "BMW Z4 M Coupe" have: same POWER.

"Ford Escorth RS Cosworth" and "Ford Focus *" have: same POWER and TORQUE.

"Volkswagen Golf GTI" and "Volkswagen Scirocco" have: same RATING, same WEIGHT, same POWER and same TORQUE.

"Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION IX MR-edition" and "Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION" have: same TORQUE.

"Pagani Zonda F" and "Pagani Zonda R" have: same WEIGHT.

"Porsche Cayman S" and " "Bonus Porsche Cayman S" have: same POWER and TORQUE

"Coke Zero (R) Dodge Viper SRT10" and "Dodge Viper SRT10" have: same WEIGHT

I'm confused are you saying Audi RS4 & R8 with the same power & torque are correct? or wrong? FYI RS4 & R8 have the same engine so power & torque are indeed the same. Again are you pointing out that Zonda F & Zonda R weighs the same is wrong? or correct? FYI Zonda R is 160kg lighter than Zonda F. So are you pointing out whats wrong or are you saying whats right?

About the naming thing, seriously does that really matter? Unless they got it completely wrong like naming an EVO as an Impreza then you got something to scream at. Those naming problems you point out are incorrect anyway.

"Audi RS 4" shouldn't be "Audi RS4", cause the badge on the car is indeed "RS 4"

"Dodge Challenger Concept" isn't SRT-8, but rather "Challenger R/T" like some 1 pointed out earlier.

"Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION" is named without X in some cases cause this version was not exactly the evolution based on the last model, its a completely new concept. We still call it EVO X caused its the 10th generation.

"Nissan Silvia spec.R AERO" & "SpecR AERO" if you wanna nitpick it should be "Spec-R AERO" thats the badge on the car.

"2007 Lexus LF-A Concept" & "Lexus LF-A Concept 2007"? Did you notice the year comes before the car model? eg. 1998 Toyota MR2 GT, 1999 Subaru Impreza WRX STi

"Bonus Porsche Cayman S" & "Porsche Cayman S Bonus", since this is a Shift bonus car they can name it anyway they want even "Porsche 'Bonus' Cayman S".

"Coke Zero (R) Dodge Viper SRT-10" shouldn't be "Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coke Zero (R)" cause being a sponsored car, the sponsor's name will always be at the front, eg. MOTUL AUTECH GT-R from Japan Super GT series, the sponsor is MOTUL oils the car is Nissan GT-R. And its "SRT-10" not "SRT10" since you like nitpicking.

I fully understand how you feel about hard-earn money buying an incomplete-bug-ridden-game. But that doesn't mean i'm gonna whine & rant all the time, i've done my whining & ranting & got over it. I don't go around every thread bashing & complaining. Besides they are working on the patch already & the patch details seems promising, so instead of whining i'll just wait for that.

lol I'll stick to what the producer said rather than what they paid some writer to make up in a paragraph to attract attention.

What paragraph was written by a paid writer?

And yes, Clutch is trolling. You troll by jacking threads and posting non-humourous inane stuff that can't be applied to the subject in anyway really. The intent isn't particularly important. Just the fact that it's done.

Jacking threads?

Someone asked a question. I answered it. Said person attacked my answer, and I defended it. No attempt to be humorous. And it had exactly everything to do with the subject in question.

If anything, JM's hijacked the thread by asking the initial question in the first place, and then getting butt-hurt when someone decided to kick the door in his face.

Wow, and then you want to know why people don't like you. And don't tell me that you're not here to make friends. Because let's face it, if you're posting in the discussion thread it's got to do with a desire to socialize.

And the previous defines you as a troll. Who talks crap if I read it right.

I don't known if the values are correct or not.... i see same values, so i'm asking. Are they correct?

Regarding the name you are right.. are silly changes to have a better "symmetry" for names

What about "Ford Falken Tire Mustang"?

nfs_web.Tofushop wrote:well, you missed the ae-86 torque. It's not 500Nm, its around 150Nm. it has 126Hp

I'll add it

finally a my modest opinion i have both NFS and FM3... FM3 is new version of Gran Turismo, the cockpit view is a joke... i like to feel the vibration of cockpit, the "strenght" when braking... FM3 doesn't have it

NFS is a simulation? is not a simulation? is an arcade?.... IMO is the best racing game with DIRT 2.

The link Clutch posted "from the horses mouth". Thats a typical advertising description of the game.

lol The funny thing is you actually care so much about winning a discussion that you have to resort to little attacks like that. Nice.

Now technically, we were both right if anything....you provided a link where the game was described as a 'simulation' while I provided a link of where the producer of the game said it was NOT a simulation.

So, this has been exhausted, and there's no more we can do with it. If you would like to resort to childish remarks and continue with that...then so be it. I don't need to resort to that.
