2gigs is not much. Your problem may come from this lack of memory. Maybe you should try with 3 gigs at least.

Same here guys...
Q6600, 8 gigs of RAM, HD4850, Win 7 x64 RTM Enterprise

I can't even average 30 fps, with frequent drops to 15. Turning down the settings doesn't improve anything.
Really, EA, what were you thinking?

This has to be the main topic of this forum !

ATI owners can't play. As for me I have a 1 second input lag with or without Vsync. How can I play ?

Here are my specs
Phenom II 720 3.2 GHz
2x2gb OCZ platinum ddr2 1066
2x 512mb visiontek hd 3850 in crossfire (catalyst 9.9)
running at 1920X1080 (also tried lower res without much help)

I think this is an ATI issue. I will say to the user using the x2, when I turn off crossfire, my max frames drop a little, but the game play is smoother. I say smoother though, not as smooth as it should be though. There are micro stutters that I can live with to play the game, but is still annoying. My biggest gripe is that crossfire doesn't work. Crossfire has been out for quite some time. multi gpu programming should not be an issue for a new title, especially a new anticipated one such as this.

On a bit of a side note; vsync creates an input lag for my controller. Much like dead space on pc if any of you have played it. Turning it off quickly eliminates the issue though.

Please release a patch EA. Either that or link us to an ATI hotfix.

Hey ATI guys..you are not alone...I have stuttering and skipping motions too when steering the car..i hate this..i just bought NFS Shift and Batman...Batman seems to run great...But shift has weird stuttering..

Here's my specs:
Vista Ultimate 64
Nvidia GTX 295
Intel Q9550 (O'clocked @ 4.02ghz)
8GB RAM
1 TB HD Space
Creative X-fi Xtreme Gamer

All drivers are up to date...But it seems i cant enjoy this game even at medium settings!
Please re-optimized this game with a patch and for the last time...STOP FOCUSING ON THE CONSOLE VERSION! Now we PC guys get a crap performance with High Rigs!

It's not EA's fault, it's most likely ATI drivers

But shouldn't they test the game with ATI cards and the current drivers before releasing the game??
